Fighting for the Painting Art alongside Paintresses

In 2009 I built my studio work on the self-portrait depiction techniques of paintresses who worked from the 1400s until the first half of the XVIII. century, that was the reason why I started looking for their workmanship. I took their creations, self-portraits as a compositon baseline. My point-of-view was determined by sympathy and reception. I was really interested in the fight of the paintresses for acknowledgement. I choosed Ludvig Koch’s: Oberst Rodakowski and Lady Elisabeth Thompson Buttler’s Scottland Forever paintings and redefined them. I saw Ludvig Koch’s big-sized painting during my stay in Wienna, it inspired me and it was a technical challenge for me as I have never made such a big (240x150cm) painting.
